What's Going On a 40 ans

Le 21 Mai 1971 sortait l'album What's Going On de Marvin Gaye.
Depuis cet album est devenu culte et a inspirée bon nombre d'artistes.
Pour fêter les 40 ans de la sortis de cette pépite qui marqua un tournant dans l'histoire de la Soul Music,
Je vous propose de revenir sur un titre de cette album Mercy Mercy Me,
un hymne écologique poignant qui prend une interprétation particulièrement réaliste de nos jours, puisque Marvin Gaye y évoque les agressions de l’homme envers sa planète, l’air vicié, les radiations, la mer polluée et la dégradation de l'environnement.

Marvin  se demande alors en conclusion «What about this overcrowded Land, how much more abuse from man can she stand ? (Qu’en est-il de cette terre surpeuplée, combien d’agressions de l’homme peut-elle encore supporter ?).
